EUROBAUSTOFF retail proves itself as an excellent service provider

With the cooperation’s successful report for 2014 the managing director Ulrich Wolf also released the positive figures for the retail trade sector.

With its end consumer orientated ranges this achieved a growth in 2014 of more than 10 % in centrally invoiced turnover and an increase in the external sales turnover of the partners to 1,094 billion euros. Hereby particularly strong growth was noted by the segments Decorative Wood with 28.72 %, Machines with 11.10%, Work Clothing with 14.91 % and Garden Furniture with 15.01% growth compared to the previous year. The success of the EUROBAUSTOFF partners is also partly thanks to the efforts of Dieter Jäger Head of Retail and his team which continually expands the service portfolio. “The market is dynamic and we must, therefore, also develop ourselves further. Concepts including the FarbStudio (ColourStudio), the brand machine shop, the work clothing shop “Fashion at Work” and the promotional area concept were well received by our partners and were adapted and realised in a large number for various market sizes,” said Dieter Jäger.

At the EUROBAUSTOFF retail trade meeting on 10. and 11. February in Berlin the specialist and DIY market operators can look forward to further innovations and sales promoting concepts as Peter Abraham, Marketing Manager Retail and Head of Fittings/Planning and Concept Development and his sales and project team have a sure instinct for the latest in store developments.

In 2014 the combined experience of Category Management, under the management of Joachim Schock, and Sales once again went into the development of the Garden Catalogue, the Work Clothing Catalogue and the further development of the trade brand ranges OPUS1 and PRIMA. The removal of advertising blocks from the Garden Catalogue for an individualised advertising supplement and the creation of a professional prospectus generator for promoting products for commercial customers were further areas of work for Category Management in 2014.

The takeover of the former Praktiker and Max-Bahr sites by EUROBAUSTOFF specialist retailers also shows that EUROBAUSTOFF will be perceived as an established major player between the big system providers in the DIY business also beyond its core business of building materials.
“The announcement that four former BayWa franchisees with 19 sites joined EUROBAUSTOFF as partners on 1. January 2015 also means that we are, meanwhile, offering an impressive service portfolio in retail trade,” says Dieter Jäger explaining the new members:

  • Heide- Handels Heide-Handels GmbH & Co. KG, Bad Düben
  • Raiffeisen-Handels- u. Dienstleistungsgenossensch. Spremberg eG, Spremberg
  • Raiffeisen Bezugs- u. Handelsgenossensch. Erzgebirge e.G., Olbernhau
  • Raiffeisen Bezugs- u. Handelsgenossensch. eG Lübz, Lübz

This service portfolio for retail is currently secured by 278 partners with 927 sites with a service system contract. “We are continuously working on new ideas and concepts and continue to remain on a growth course. However, we are not following just any trend but are carefully assessing, in an ongoing dialogue with our partners, what is feasible in practice what makes sense as we have to meet the needs of all the differently sized companies in our partner circle,” emphasises Dieter Jäger.
