Colourful, versatile and boundlessly encouraging for partners

Punctually at half past nine, the chairman of the Supervisory Board, Boy Meesenburg, opened this year's general meeting of partners of EUROBAUSTOFF Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG in Amsterdam. More than 85% of the partners had made their way to the meeting, either in person or by proxy.

EUROBAUSTOFF's specialist dealers, the members of their families and the company directors had already created a strong impression at the "Get Together" the previous evening. A record number of guests attended the event – more than 600 – which compelled the organisers to change the venue, an excursion boat, at short notice and charter a larger ship, the Ocean Diva. They were not deflected from their plans even by the fact that the World Cup tie between Germany and the USA was taking place at the same time. They'd specifically allowed for the needs of hard-bitten football fans by having a "Ball" hall prepared specially for them.

The Dutch metropolis is today the setting for the taking of important decisions inside the Kooperation. The first of them is the adopting of the new partnership agreement, which was presented in Hamburg last year but on which no vote was taken. The new agreement takes account of further developments internal to the Kooperation and sets them in a proper framework of company law.

Another motion to be adopted, concerning the annex to the head offices in Bad Nauheim, reflects the way the Kooperation is continuing to develop inside Europe. The additional premises will create space for the larger number of jobs that the planned expansion will bring in the next eight or ten years.

The third important vote in the Dutch metropolis this morning will refer to approval of the performance of the Supervisory Board. Six of the eight members will now be able to extend their period of office. The Supervisory Board and the Management Board are confident that the partners will deliver a positive verdict on all three matters.
